Piper Formula F cars are solely American in construction and have a proven track record since the early 1990s.
Originally the brainchild of Don Sievenpiper, many original components were already manufactured for Piper by Doug Learned’s Intercity Manufacturing from the outset. So when the company came up for sale in 2009, Doug was the natural choice to continue the marque.
Piper race cars have won several SCCA Runoffs national championships, Regional titles, and untold other series and individual race victories.
Doug has been a tireless advocate for Formula F in the US for decades. His Fast Forward company was granted the exclusive license to distribute the Honda HPD engines and related parts over the past several years. He also continues to build the Piper chassis for Formula F and — as a true sportsman — he also constructs many of the related parts used to manufacture competing chassis brands.
